About dean.

Founded in 1999, dean. is an independent leather goods company built around a simple idea: thoughtful design, honest materials, and things made to last.

Every dean. piece begins with design and is crafted in-house in Los Angeles, California. From our watch bands and belts to bags, wallets and accessories, we remain closely involved in the entire process—from the first sketch and leather selection to cutting, stitching and finishing.

Our designs are rooted in vintage American style, but never intended to feel like reproductions. We take inspiration from the straightforward construction, utility and character of pieces from the past and reinterpret them with cleaner lines, modern proportions and an understated point of view.

We work primarily with durable, full-grain leathers and use traditional construction techniques whenever they make the product better. The result is leather goods designed not only to wear well, but to age well—developing character and becoming more personal with use.

More than 25 years after we started, dean. remains proudly independent, designed and crafted in Los Angeles, and Made in the USA.
